Everyone talks about TEMPO, but very few coaches explain the timing

behind when the football should be snapped or how to properly sequence

plays within an up-tempo system.

An offense that can effectively change tempos and operate at a fast pace

places tremendous pressure on the defense. When No-Huddle Tempo is

combined with a Gun Triple Option scheme and RPOs (Run-Pass

Options), it creates constant conflict and forces defenders into difficult

assignments on every snap.

In this blog section, I’ve developed a ONE-WORD RPO TEMPO

SYSTEM designed to fit seamlessly within the offense while allowing

players to think less and play faster in no-huddle, up-tempo situations.

Here is a simple and effective One-Word Tempo System that I learned

and implemented successfully. This system is especially effective when

players are using wristbands, allowing communication to stay fast,

organized, and efficient.
