RPO Concepts Rules
1.
If there’s 1 receiver on the perimeter; he’ll run a stop
route
2.
If there’s 2 receivers on the on the same side; outside
receiver run now route & the inside receiver will blocks most
dangerous defender
3.
If there’s 3 receivers on the perimeter; 3rd receiver runs a
bubble route while the other two receivers block the two
most dangerous defender
Simple RPO Concepts
1.
On Inside Run plays don’t block the perimeter
2.
On Outside run plays don’t block the backside
3.
If 1 wide Receiver is away from a play being ran to the play-side
perimeter, back-side wide receiver will run a slant
4.
If 1 wide Receiver is away from a play being ran to the play-side
perimeter, the #1 WR will run a in-route & #2 WR will run a post
route on a 2-high safety look or fly route on a 1-high safety look.
