TE/H-Back Stem Alignment

Coaches, make sure your players understand how critical the Tight End & H-Back alignments are from a defensive perspective. Their positioning often defines the formation’s strength, dictates gap fits & can create personnel conflicts for the defense.

The H-Back, in particular, gives offenses tremendous flexibility allowing for pre-snap motion, the creation of additional gaps in the run game & effective use of misdirection to stress defensive rules & discipline.

These alignments can be the difference between forcing safeties down into the box or isolating linebackers in coverage.
